Project 2024. Estonian Knighthood House
Location: Kohtu 1, Tallinn, Estonia
Interior architects: Gerly Vaikre, Pille Lausmäe
The renovation of the historic Estonian Knighthood House on Toompea Hill transformed the building into the Estonian Statehood House — a contemporary representative venue for the Republic of Estonia. Developed through a long-term restoration and redesign process, the project carefully balances historical preservation with modern functionality, creating dignified spaces for state receptions, diplomatic meetings and official events. The interior concept respects the building’s many historical layers while introducing contemporary elements with clarity and restraint, allowing the past and present to coexist in dialogue.
